The Rules That Apply in JLT & DMCC

Under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, any personal data left on a disposed device remains your responsibility until it is destroyed.

How a Collection in JLT & DMCC Works
JLT is about 25 minutes from Al Quoz and entirely governed by building rules. Each tower runs its own move permit process, service lift reservation and loading bay slot, and several require a refundable deposit plus proof of insurance from the collecting party. DMCC units additionally need a move or gate permit raised through the portal by the licence holder. We handle the co-ordination once you have introduced us to building management. Where more than one unit in a cluster is clearing, ask us to sequence them into a single booking — it halves the elapsed time and building management strongly prefers one scheduled visit to three ad hoc ones.

Do we need a DMCC permit as well as a building move permit?
Usually both. DMCC requires a move or gate permit raised through the portal by the licence holder, and the tower separately requires a building move permit with a service lift reservation. They are different systems and neither substitutes for the other.
We are a commodities trader. Does our data need special handling?
Counterparty records, KYC documentation and trade data are personal and commercially sensitive data under the UAE PDPL. Those machines go through the data destruction workflow with a serial-level Certificate of Destruction rather than being recycled as generic office equipment.
Can you clear several units in the same cluster on one visit?
Yes, and you should ask for it. A sequenced multi-unit booking is far faster than separate visits and building management prefers it. Tell us the tower and unit numbers and we plan the route and lift slot around them.
How small a job will you take in JLT?
A single office clearance, roughly twenty units upwards, is a normal booking here. The short drive means we do not need the bulk thresholds that apply to Fujairah or Al Ain.
