Completeness
Caddies, rails, power supplies, RAM and CPUs all carry value. A machine missing them is priced as what remains.

Access and logistics
Ground-level forklift loading costs a fraction of a tower job with a booked service lift and a four-hour window.
Commodity rates
Copper, aluminium, steel and precious metal recovery rates move. Quotes are held for a defined period rather than indefinitely.

How long does a quote take?
For a straightforward list, usually within the working day. For a data centre decommission, a multi-site estate or anything needing a destruction method agreed per media type, allow one to three working days — that time is spent getting the scope right, which is what stops the figure moving later.
Is the quoted figure firm?
Firm, provided the load matches the list. That is the entire reason we quote from a detailed inventory and photographs rather than a phone description. We do not quote high to win the job and renegotiate at the door, which is the most common complaint we hear about other buyers.
What makes the price go up or down?
Configuration rather than model name: a server with populated CPUs and full memory is worth several times an identical empty chassis. Then generation and support status, completeness, volume and consolidation, access and logistics, and prevailing commodity rates. Working equipment with resale life is valued as equipment, which is materially more than scrap.
Do you buy working equipment, or only scrap?
Both, and the distinction matters to your number. Equipment with genuine resale life is valued as equipment and remarketed after verified sanitisation, which typically returns several times a scrap valuation. We will tell you which route pays more once we have seen the specification.
What information do you actually need?
Quantities, rough models or specifications, photographs, the location, and any access constraint such as a free zone gate pass or a service lift booking. For servers and storage, the configuration matters more than anything else — CPU count, memory and drive count change the figure substantially.
Is there a minimum quantity?
It depends on distance rather than on policy. In Dubai, roughly twenty units or one office clearance is a normal job. In Fujairah or Al Ain we need a bulk lot or a consolidated run. Send the list and we will tell you honestly which side of the line you are on.
